How Interview Pro handles account, resume, interview, and career-planning data.
Last updated: May 2026
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as account details, resumes, target roles, interview responses, saved practice, and billing-related activity.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide resume review, interview practice, and career-planning workflows.
- To maintain account access, credit balances, saved history, and preferences.
- To improve product reliability, security, and support.
- To process payments and subscription changes when requested.
3. Resume and Interview Processing
Resume text, job descriptions, and practice answers are used to generate the analysis or content you request. Local draft data stays on your device unless you sign in and use account-connected features.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Depending on the feature you choose, data is processed by:
- Firebase for Google account authentication.
- Stripe for checkout, subscription, and billing management.
- OpenRouter and its selected model provider for generated career, interview, cover-letter, and learning content.
- OpenAI for speech transcription and speech synthesis.
- Our configured PostgreSQL and application hosting providers for saved account and learning data.
- Jina or a configured sentence-embedding service only when remote semantic ATS scoring is enabled.
Only submit information you are comfortable sending to the processors required for the selected feature.
5. Security and Retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Saved profiles, practice history, career-tool records, and textbook content remain until deleted through available product controls or an authenticated deletion request. Temporary uploads and audio are used to complete the requested operation and are not intentionally retained as source files. Provider-side logging and retention are governed by the applicable provider configuration and agreement.
6. Voice Recordings
Voice recordings used in interview practice are processed for the requested practice experience and are not intended to be retained as permanent recordings.
7. Your Choices
You can update account information, manage subscriptions, and request support for data access or deletion through the account and support channels available in the product.
Textbooks can be deleted from your account. You may also request an export or deletion of account-connected data. Billing records that must be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, or accounting obligations may be kept for the required period.
8. AI Output and Model Use
Generated output may be inaccurate and should be reviewed before it is submitted to an employer or used for compensation decisions. Interview Pro does not intentionally use your private content to train its own models. Whether an external processor retains API inputs is controlled by that processor agreement and the account configuration used by Interview Pro.
